British Rowing Indoor Championships!

A huge well done to our rowing team! Klaudia (Y10) and Mehrzad (Y9) earned medals for the third year running, Klaudia taking silver in the U15 Girls Chase and becoming our most decorated athlete and Piotr (Y9) adding bronze in the Y8 Boys 250m. The relay team (Piotr Y9 and Jasmandeep Y10) also brought home bronze in the J11–15 relay. Every student finished in the top 20, with 7 top-10 finishes and many Personal Bests.

We give our students countless opportunities to learn beyond the classroom, including an unforgettable trip to Paris that brought French language and culture to life, and a fieldwork visit to Bournemouth where students gathered primary data on coastal management and erosion. Throughout these experiences, our students demonstrated the very best of TLA—showing resilience, respect for the local community and mature responsibility for their environment, equipment, and work.

We also recreated a full GCSE Results Day experience for mock grades, complete with envelopes, excitement, and nerves, helping students reflect on how they want to feel when the real results arrive next summer. We are incredibly proud of their hard work and maturity.
