Welcome from our Sponsor

Celebration evening 2017 48 croppedWelcome from Annabel Nicoll

The Annabel Arbib Foundation is a registered charity (number 296358) that supports the philanthropy of Annabel Nicoll. Established in 1987 by Annabel’s father, Sir Martyn Arbib, it was originally named The Arbib Foundation.

Sir Martyn and the Foundation provided charitable donations and financial support to organisations and causes around the UK, with a focus on the Thames Valley. Sir Martyn, and the Foundation, established the River & Rowing Museum in Henley-on-Thames, that opened in 1998 and attracts over 100,000 visitors per year. Since Annabel took over responsibility for and endowed the Foundation, the main focus of its work has been to support education and healthcare projects, with a focus on providing access to excellent educational and healthcare/medical opportunities where the need is most evident.

The Arbib Education Trust is the principal beneficiary of the Annabel Arbib Foundation. As Sponsor, the Foundation has a responsibility to safeguard the vision of the Trust. In addition, the Foundation takes a special interest in providing additional funding and resources to support the most vulnerable students within the Trust, as well as supporting the promotion of excellent practice to ensure the highest standards are maintained.

Annabel Nicoll is a Sponsor, a Trustee and a governor at each of the schools within the Trust.
