BackWe are excited to share that The Arbib Education Trust has been shortlisted for Small MAT of the Year
Mar 19, 2026
This is a significant achievement for our community. The prestigious MAT Excellence Awards celebrate outstanding achievements, innovation and educational impact.
Our Ethos
The recognition reflects our unwavering commitment to our ethos:
‘One Community. Many Ideas. Everyone’s Future’.
This vision drives us to deliver high quality education across our schools. To nurture inclusive environments and ensure every child, student and member of staff can thrive. It also reflects the culture we have built together. Where staff are supported to grow and our children and students achieve and flourish. As a result, our Trust plays a positive and meaningful role in the wider community. This award acknowledges the tangible difference our staff make every day.
Curiosity, Exploration and Discovery
We have a distinctive approach to cultural capital. Our children and students learn through museums and the wider world. We work collaboratively with museum partners to inspire creativity and critical thinking. Through these experiences our students grow into confident and resilient young people who are ready for their future.

What Is Museum Learning - The Arbib Education Trust
High Expectations for Every Student
We set high expectations and support every child and student. We work together as a community and use inclusive practice. Our goal is simple: better outcomes for our children and students. We believe there should be no limits to their ambition, social mobility, or success.
Supporting Every Learner
At the heart of this recognition is a relentless focus on ensuring every day at school counts. Behind the scenes, staff across our Trust work hard to support children, families and colleagues. They build strong partnerships and create the right conditions for every learner to succeed.
Inclusion and Belonging
Inclusion and belonging are central to our work. We make sure every child and staff member feels welcome and valued in our schools. This is underpinned by a strong focus on staff wellbeing and our bespoke flexible working scheme.
Attendance and Engagement
Attendance is a key priority across our schools. We build strong relationships with families and provide dedicated pastoral support. We also create a culture where children want to come to school. Attendance across our Trust is consistently above the national average. Our primary schools and disadvantaged pupils perform among the strongest in the local area.
Reflecting this success, The Langley Academy is now a Lead Attendance and Behaviour Hub. This recognises our work to improve attendance, behaviour and inclusion in schools across the sector.
About the MAT Excellence Awards

Looking Ahead
This shortlisting recognises the dedication, care and teamwork that make our community special. We look forward to celebrating alongside other outstanding trusts and school leaders.
"We are incredibly proud to be shortlisted for Small MAT of the Year. This recognition reflects our shared purpose, the dedication and expertise of our staff and the strength of our community. What sets our Trust apart is not only what we do, but how we do it: through collaboration, integrity and a relentless focus on making every school day count for our children and students."
