Creative Writing, Clay Pots and Classification at TLAP: A Brilliant Week for Year 3 and Year 4
Back
Year 3 have had a busy week! We have perfected our mythical character descriptions and written up our final hot task of the term, complete with similes, metaphors and a range of expanded noun phrases. The teachers are really impressed with the children's efforts and improvement in writing this term. They have also completed their sculpture topic, and have created their own Ancient Greek pots, complete with handles, patterns and pictures.
This week in Year 4, the children read an account of Boudicca’s rebellion written by Tactius, a Roman historian. We discussed how Romans may have been unfair in their accounts of Boudicca as she was their enemy. In Science, we continued working on classification keys – this time using a branching software to create our own classification games. In Maths, we continued learning about decimals and practicing for the upcoming MTC. We’re looking forward to all the amazing things coming in our final term!
